I am 21 years old and lives in Kibæk, a small town 15 km from Herning, with my boyfriend and our chinchilla. I am an educated IT-supporter, who is studying to become a datatechnician specializing in programming. I am hardworking, focused, reliable, forthcoming and a fast learner. I cherish learning more and get more knowledge about programming.
I just ended my first semester at the end of June, and I am ready for action.
I have linked the website I made from scratch, as my first semester-project, on the 'Website' link.
I made this website and assigned on projects that are coming from the school or outside companies.
I practiced on exercises and assignments that made me ready to first semester.
I was a datatechnician specializing in infrastructure there, because I, at my apprenticeship test, got the offer of a project-oriented internship by my examiner. I found it very exciting and I talked to the student counsellor about the fact that I want to be a datatechnician specializing in programming, but got this offer that I found interesting, and he told me that it would not be a problem. The projects were to replace around 180 routers and 800 access points around the city. I also replaced switches and made cable management.
As a part-time / summerjob, I drove around to old and / or handicapped people and helped them get in their clothes, get to the bathroom, take a shower, made them food or clean their house.
I helped students, teachers and the administration with their computers. I also fixed the projectors and printers, and took care of cable management in the administration and in the classromms.
Thanks to the making of Silkeborg freeway, I had plenty of work, for instance I welded around 300 stands to roadstakes.

Throughout my first semester of school, I have been through basic programming, versioning and documentation, OOP, client-side programming, socket programming, MySQL database programming and first semester project, where I made a website from scratch. I’ve coded in C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL, GitHub and GitKraken.
At Viborg Kommune, I helped starting their WAN-project and wireless project. Their WAN-project included using a python script to configure the routers, so all locations could get their routers replaced with a new one, without the loss of data. It was nearly 180 locations. The wireless project included replacing every access point at every school they supported, because the ones that were installed, at the schools, were outdated. I managed to replace nearly 400 access points out of 850.
In the time I’ve been at SCU, I’ve reinstalled computers, supported students, teachers, the administration, repaired printers and projectors, and debugged on the units. The day usually went off with frontline supporting, getting a lot of different problems. However, I saw every problem as an opportunity to get better at troubleshooting.
Throughout my time at school, as an IT-supporter, and at my internships, I’ve worked with: Windows 10, Windows 7, Mac, remote desktop, Active Directory (user configuration), Windows Server 2012 and 2016, Hyper-V, VMware, JavaScript and Swift – were I worked with the development of mobile applications, which was an optional course that I thought was very exciting.
I’m as a person forthcoming, flexible and hard working. I bring a good mood, great humor and a positive approach to the working day. When I get an assignment, I will give all I’ve got to solved it at the best way possible. I’m open to new ideas, inputs and techniques to solve the assignment in the best way, and accepts the assignment with a smile, because I enjoy challenging myself and my competences.
Me as a person:
- Devoted, forthcoming and a quick learner.
- Smiling, mature and always in a good mood, which gives a lot of energy to a busy working day.
- Always ready to give all I’ve got and do my job to satisfaction.
- Determined, good to prioritization and enterprising.
- Good at both cooperation and working independent.
I find programming so fascinating, I love learning new things and I’m looking forward to making it a part of my everyday life. Before I began at my first semester, I took the course ”JavaScript Fundamentals ES6 for beginners” at udemy.com, which I found very exciting and educative.
Apart from studying, I enjoy being outdoors. In the winter, I love to go iceskating, and someday I would take a trip to Austria, because I have always wanted to go on a skiing vacation. During the warmer months, I enjoy taking a walk at the beach or in the woods, and go to amusement parks with my family and friends.
When I spend my sparetime indoors, I watch movies and television shows, I also love music, both to hear and play myself, where I play piano and guitar.
I love to help my family with their computer problems, because I like lending a hand when someone needs it. I’ve, among other things, helped my grandmothers a lot with their small IT and software troubles.
